OHS Science Fair Photo Gallery

The OHS Science Fair was held on Jan. 21 in the OHS cafeteria, with students competing in 10 categories.
The categories were: Behavioral and Social Sciences; Biochemistry; Botany; Chemistry; Earth, Space and Environmental Sciences; Engineering, Computers and Math; Medicine and Health; Microbiology; Physics; and Zoology.
The first- through third-place winners in Class IV (ninth through 10th grades) were: Lauren Sink, Anna Claire, Franklin, and Lily Smith for Behavioral and Social Sciences; Enina Egiebor, Addie Thompson and Robert Rauschenberger for Biochemistry; Adam Cantrell, Yaniv Goulet and Charlie Torrent for Botany; Siena Czidziel, Mohamed Hamed and Shahbaz Gul for Chemistry; Jeffrey Wang, Anneke Buskes and Luke Kelly for Earth, Space and Environmental Sciences; Eve Gershon, Phillip Chambers and Dev Patel for Engineering, Computers and Math; Isuru Hewamanna, Jack Ligon and Taylor Daniel for Medicine and Health; Heba Marzouk, David Torrent and Olivia Rychlak for Microbiology; Wil Bunch, David Deese and Ashton Perkins for Physics; and Libby Bauer and Kathleen Patton for Zoology.

In Class V (11th through 12th grades), Nitin Ankisetty earned first place in Microbiology, Fatima Laraib garnered first place in Biochemistry, and Shawn Chao received first-place honors in Earth, Space and Environmental Sciences.

Fifty OHS students will compete at the Feb. 25 Mississippi Region VII Science and Engineering Fair at Ole Miss.
