Welcome to theChargerOnline, Oxford High’s official online news source in Oxford, MS. theChargerOnline was released first as theCharger to supplement theCharger Newspaper, but now has become an independent organization dedicated to getting the news out as quick and timely as possible while maintaining a high calibre for content. theChargerOnline also gathers content from three other independent organizations: theCharger Newspaper, Flashback Yearbook, and Charger TV Broadcasting. Make note that each of these organizations maintain a small subsection of the website.
Released in the Fall of 2010 as theohscharger.com by Adhi Ravishankar, theChargerOnline went on to win all of the Mississippi Scholastic Press Association’s (MSPA) online awards in April of 2011. After the arrival of Sudu Upadhyay later that month, theChargerOnline underwent a total change in design and structure, making it the independent organization it is today. It has won a NSPA Best of Show in November of 2011.
theChargerOnline updates its website on a weekly basis, though by the end of 2011, we will have all arrangements in place to make a daily update of the website.
