An Oxford High School Athletics Department intern has recently been arrested on charges of grand larceny.

Adam Aguirre, 22, a current Ole Miss student and intern for Oxford strength coach Jason Wilfawn, was arrested October 24 after reports of a stolen car connected him with the theft.

According to the Oxford Police Department, on October 20, the OPD received a report of a stolen vehicle, and a tip led them to Hathorn Rd. When investigators arrived, Aguirre was taken into custody and booked with a charge of grand larceny for the theft.

Aguirre had previously been helping out sports teams at Oxford High School under Wilfawn, and was a frequent member at baseball practices, according to a team member.

He has since been arrested and given a bond of $20,000.
