On Monday, Jan. 26, The Oxford School Board of Trustees deliberated on the school schedule for next year. Schools will begin earlier, but during the first semester there will be a fall break. Students will begin school on Wednesday, Aug. 12. Unlike this year, there will be a fall break on Oct. 12 and a professional development day on Oct. 13. The first quarter of school will end Oct. 9., and Thanksgiving break will last the entire week of Nov. 23. Christmas Break will last from Dec. 21 to Jan. 5. Similarly to every year, the schools will be closed on Monday Jan. 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Spring break will occur the week of Mar. 14., and schools will be closed on Mar. 25 for Good Friday. On Apr. 15, students will not have to go to school because of a professional development day. The last day for students before summer break will be May 26.
