OPINION: Pizza, a love column for all
Have you ever eaten pizza? The odds are you have, and if you have not, I feel bad for you.
Pizza is wonderful, truly. It comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. The possibilities with pizza are endless, with toppings being abundant. Pizza is probably the greatest food ever made in the history of human existence.
A lot of places serve pizza, because it is difficult to make a bad pizza. Think about how little pressure those businesses feel while preparing that pizza. As long as they stick to a basic pizza recipe, it will be outstanding, and they know that. That is why so many restaurants all over the world still sell pizza regardless of what their normal cuisine is.
Pizza brings together people of all races, religions, creeds, ages, etc. Pizza is commonly seen on the kids’ menu at restaurants because picky little children still love pizza. Pizza is fun, and you can eat it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had is cold pizza, so it does not have to be warm to be enjoyable.
Pizza is by far the most versatile food ever to bless the surface of this planet we call Earth. Think about how many times you’ve eaten a pizza and genuinely did not enjoy it. I doubt you can recall a specific time.
I am very passionate about pizza, because it is reliable. I am all about consistency, and every time I eat a pizza, I know it will at least be decent. In the 17 years I’ve been alive, I’ve probably had, like, three pizzas that I did not enjoy, and it was the server’s fault. They put stupid stuff on it like barbecue sauce. Who ruins a pizza like that?
So the next time you eat a pizza, be grateful for what is has done for humanity.
