Gay Pride Parade Photo Gallery
Oxford’s first gay pride parade took place on Saturday, May 7, at 2:30. The parade began in the Gertrude Chandler Ford Center parking lot next to the Depot, went down University Avenue, around the Square, and finished down Jackson Avenue where they re-entered the Depot parking lot. Oxford High School’s Gay Straight Alliance participated in the parade. Some students rode on a float, while others walked in the parade with a sign that said “Oxford High School Gay Straight Alliance.” Many OHS students also came out to watch the parade.
