The new movie “Twisters” has become a viral sensation and is likely the movie of the year. In this fast-paced action film, whole towns losing their homes, livelihoods, and even lives are lost due to unexpected tornadoes. “Twisters” has exhilarating visuals and sounds, and this movie really makes the audience feel like they are
in a tornado.
The two main characters played by Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones are excellent. The two actors fit their characters perfectly, and they have good chemistry on screen. Both characters seem very dedicated to their tornado chasing jobs.
“Twisters” 2024 is a standalone sequel to the 1996 film of the same name. In the 2024 movie it is obvious how much visuals have improved. It is such a realistic movie that will have the audience on the edge of their seat.
On the surface, Glen Powell’s character, Tyler Owens, seems one-dimensional, but as the movie progresses it seems there is more to this tornado wrangler that meets the eye. Kate Carter, Daisy Edgar-Jones’ character, has been through many traumatic experiences but she overcomes that trauma throughout the film.
The soundtrack for this movie is incredible. “Twisters” did a great job of putting together a star-studded soundtrack of country artists for the film. Luke Combs’ “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,” has gone viral on social media, bringing newfound attention to the movie. Other artists like Miranda Lambert, Megan Maroney, Bailey Zimmerman, and more appear on this soundtrack.
Carter and Owens are a great pair but unfortunately their relationship does not develop romantically on-screen. However, the movie ended on a note which seemed to tease a “Twisters 2”.
While it is intense, “Twisters” is a fun movie to watch. It had great cinematography, actors, music, and a fantastic storyline and would appeal to viewers of all ages.
