With the grand opening of Just Flip It on Oct. 4, Oxford welcomes its first trampoline park. Located just behind Wink Tumbling Academy, Just Flip It is a new, exciting attraction that brings the town of Oxford something to do for all ages. Featuring seven plus stations, from trampolines to rock climbing walls, along with dodgeball and basketball courts, Just Flip It features something for everyone.
Wink Tumbling Academy owner Morgan Wicker, along her sister and partner, Whitney Winkle, decided to open Just Flip It due to the lack of entertainment for children in Oxford. The two already owned and operated Wink Tumbling Academy, and their tumbling students have loved the park since its grand opening.
“Well I own Wink and have always been around gymnastics and tumbling,” Wicker said. “The guy that I rented my old building from is a contractor and has a construction company, and he said, ‘You know what would do really well in Oxford? A trampoline park.’ And I said, ‘Oh my gosh, yes, let’s do it.’ That was around five years ago. Ever since then, I just kept thinking about it, and all my girls kept saying, ‘Oh my gosh, Ms. Morgan, we would be over there in a heartbeat.’”
Construction on the park started in February of 2025, and took six months to complete. Throughout the process of building and planning, Wicker and Winkle faced challenges with planning out the installation of the equipment, along with delays from factors such as the weather.
“The timing of the getting all the trampoline parts and having our building ready at the same time was the most challenging part,” Wicker said. “Our contractor was saying, ‘Our building will be ready.’ Let’s just say he said, ‘July 31.’ Well, it was not ready, so our installing people that were ready to come and install could not. They had to get delayed. Timing that all out was what I feel like was the biggest holdup.”
Along with the the delays came the uncertainty of how to manage a trampoline park since it has never been done before in Oxford. Despite that, both sisters have managed to turn this unpredictable situation into a success.
“My favorite part has been seeing how much people are enjoying the spot,” Winkle said. “I hope that people continue to keep coming back and seeing us grow, and hopefully we can just be a stable part of the community going forward.”
As much excitement as the park is getting now, both owners are looking forward to the development and progression of Just Flip It as time progresses.
“We are definitely going to be on an uphill as much as we can,” Winkle said. “We just wanted to kind of get open just to start generating some revenue, but we have a big slide coming. Then, we are going to have arcade games scattered around. Hopefully we start to make some upgrades as we start being bigger and better. We are also going to have merch soon.”
Kids of all ages are enjoying the park already, with the opening bringing in many new visitors. The attractions featured at Just Flip It are a hit and are making people want to come back.
“My experience at Just Flip It was amazing,” Oxford High School freshman Clara Hartwell said. “The staff was so friendly, and the jump wall was definitely my favorite part.”
