About The Charger

The Charger is the award-winning student newspaper of Oxford High School, located in Oxford, Mississippi.

The print edition is published eight times a year. The website, which includes exclusive online content, is updated several times a week.

The students of the Print Journalism class write the content and design the pages.

Staff editorials reflect the views of the majority of the editorial board, comprised of the editor-in-chief and section editors. Columns and reviews with a byline reflect the views of the writer, not necessarily those of the staff.

Respectful comments on stories are encouraged on our social media accounts.

There are 1230 students in the high school. Twenty-three students in grades 9-12 are Charger staff members.
