OHS Celebrates National Go Red for Women Day
OHS celebrated National Go Red for Women Day on Friday.
In the United States, 1 in 4 women die from heart disease. In fact, coronary heart disease — the most common type of heart disease—is the No. 1 killer of both men and women in the United States. A women dies of heart disease about every 80 seconds, according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.
On Friday, to raise awareness for women’s heart disease efforts, OHS students wore red throughout the school day.
