A sinkhole has appeared behind the press box at Bobby Holcomb Field on the Oxford Middle School campus. The sinkhole is directly underneath the press box and was caused by water runoff from higher ground. 

“We will meet with an engineer and assess the damage,” OSD Athletic Director Michael Martin said. “It is somewhere between having to completely restructure or not having to do a lot.”

No injuries were reported and a fence surrounds the area. This story will be updated as more details are provided.
