This picture was sent out as an email to students and parents, depicting the newest version of the student pick up and drop off route. The route is subject to change and will likely not return to its original form until construction of the CTE building is complete.

Construction of a new CTE building will affect the traffic routes for student drivers and car riders at OHS. The major change being that the road between the CAE and the Fine Arts buildings will be blocked and traffic is being rerouted through the gold parking lot until construction ends in 2025. The traffic pattern may change again due to construction progress.

Principal Dana Bullard has provided instruction to parents and students about the recent changes.

“We have permission to open one of the closed parking lot exits to ensure that the drop off in the morning runs more smoothly,” Bullard said. “This will allow for student drop off and pick up along the Fine Arts, Science and History wings.”

For student pick up, parents should be on the inner road while student drivers will exit to the outer loop from the gold parking lot.

“It might take a little while for us to get used to this traffic pattern,” Bullard said. “Thank you for your patience while we continue to improve facilities for OHS students!
